Nala is a blue-eyed, lilac, tan, and white tri-merle French Bulldog known for her wide range of facial expressions and naturally camera-ready look. She’s friendly, social, and loves people. Working Around Others: In busy settings or simply around any additional people besides me, she can get excited at first because she loves attention and people - well, pretty much everything and anything. Many people instinctively want to say hi to her, but this actually makes it harder for her to settle. She works best when everyone stays completely neutral - no eye contact, no reaching toward her, no smiling directly at her, and no verbal interaction unless they’re the handler. When people follow this, she typically settles within about 5–10 minutes or so, give or take, while I guide her. If people ignore her from the very beginning, it is even faster. If someone acknowledges her early on, even unintentionally, it can keep her excited and focused on them much longer, which slows the process. Neutrality helps her calm down and focus. If she gets excited and jumps on someone, it is only because she wants to say hi. In that situation, the person should not react in any way - no moving their hands, no adjusting their body, no verbal cues, no pushing her off, and no reaching toward her. They should continue ignoring her completely. This helps her stop very quickly because she realizes no one is giving her attention until she’s calm. She respects me as her handler and listens to me because I give her consistent structure. If she gets cues from multiple people, she will stop listening to me and redirect to whoever is giving her attention. She has learned that other people do not discipline her, so if someone else gives her a cue or speaks to her, she interprets it as attention and becomes overstimulated. She will then try to say hi instead of listening to the command. This includes negative attention, neutral attention, or positive attention - any attention at all. When people fully ignore her and allow me to be the only person communicating with her, she focuses on me, redirects her attention quickly, and becomes very easy to work with. She is extremely food motivated, and with people remaining neutral and not giving her acknowledgement in any form, she becomes engaged with my cues and easy to direct, especially the longer she’s in the environment. One of Nala’s strongest qualities is her ability to show distinct facial expressions on cue. With tone of voice, hand signals, or simple prompts, she naturally gives curious, playful, serious, alert, soft, or focused expressions. She responds quickly when she’s focused, and that focus comes from everyone around her staying neutral and not acknowledging her. At-Home Content Creation: For at-home content creation, Nala is extremely easy to work with. With zero distractions, she listens to me very well and I can get her to do whatever is needed. She is extremely tolerant of any type of product, prop, setup, or item. She is interested in anything I present to her, whether it’s a toy, food product, accessory, mat, spa-related item, outfit, or any other object, etc. She will sit beside items, interact with products, pose however needed, and make the facial expressions I cue. I know how to handle her in a way that keeps her calm, focused, and comfortable, and she is very reliable in at-home settings. Overall: In busier environments or around groups, she performs very well once her initial excitement passes and the environment stays neutral. With one handler guiding her and everyone else ignoring her fully, she becomes focused, engaged, and easy to work with. After the content is completed, everyone can say hi to her as a reward, which she absolutely loves. Nala is a strong fit for lifestyle, home, family, travel, pet, and product-focused content. She brings a unique, standout look and works smoothly once the structure is in place for her. She is open to all opportunities - brand content, UGC, social campaigns, product features, lifestyle shoots, pet-friendly settings, etc. I’m her mom and owner, and I manage all communication, scheduling, and on-location support.
