We are seeking a well-trained female Belgian Malinois for an upcoming independent feature film shooting in Los Angeles, California. Production Dates: June 7 – July 14, 2027 The dog will only be needed on select shooting days, not for the entire production. A professional animal wrangler will be on set throughout filming to ensure the safety and welfare of all animals involved. Requirements The dog must be: Female Belgian Malinois Comfortable working around people, cast, and film equipment Dog-friendly, as a neutered male German Shepherd/Belgian Malinois mix will also be featured in the film Confident in new environments with a stable temperament Required Behaviors & Skills The dog should be able to reliably perform the following: Retrieve a leash from a table in a hallway and deliver it to an actress Walk politely on a loose leash Carry a flower basket during a wedding scene Hold a reliable Place command Perform a Bark and Hold Perform a controlled protection scene using a hidden sleeve with a trained decoy/actor Comfortably wear a working vest featuring a K-9 Security badge for several scenes Submission Information When submitting, please include: Dog's name, age, and training background Recent photos and videos demonstrating the required skills Previous film, television, commercial, or sport experience (if applicable) Your location within Southern California Contact information We welcome submissions from experienced working dogs with backgrounds in protection sports, police K-9, military K-9, or professional performance work.
